About This Collection

The "Beware the Serpent" collection was inspired by the sting of betrayal—broken promises, hidden intentions, and deception from people I let get close to me over the years. I identify those people as Snakes or Serpents. Like a snake concealed in the jungle, you don't know people's true intentions until they strike.

I wanted to bring you into my world, so I set the collection in an actual jungle, built the website around a snake hunter’s journal, and paired serpent imagery with designs inspired by classic New York City street style. The recurring “La Serpiente” design features a snake wrapped around the letter L, playing on Lyfestyle’s LS initials while reminding us that snakes are all around us.

My goal was to build a collection that was creatively fueled from a bad experience and turn it into something positive because there's no benefit in dwelling in the past. If you ever get bit by a snake you get the choice to live in fear from snakes, chase down and kill the snake or learn from that experience so you never get bit again. This collection is what moving on looks like to me... Beware the Serpent!
